I Want to Get a Job In Environmental Science and Engineering - Dream On, You And Everyone Else

A couple months ago, I had coffee with a lady at Starbucks who told me that her grandson had chosen an engineering school back east. They had convinced this young man that he should be studying environmental science and engineering, and were even going to give him $15,000 towards his tuition. Of course, I advised against it realizing that by the time he gets out of school, and has to start paying back those student loans that the environmental alternative energy bubble would have burst. In other words there won't be a whole lot of jobs available.

Okay so let's talk about this for second, because as I travel around I see so many kids graduating from high school this year who also wish to change the world, and join a cause larger than themselves, namely saving the world from global warming for instance. It is amazing how brainwashed our high school students and college students have become by this socialist agenda, and therefore have chosen alternative energy as the way forward without regards to reality, economics, or common sense. Now then, I don't want to be called a polluter, as I to have to breathe the air and drink the water just like everyone else.

While in business before retirement I had actually led my industry in coming up with solutions, practical ones from within our sector to keep the water clean. So, I know a thing or two about environmental science and engineering, from actually doing it. I tried to convince this lady and her grandson that he should choose a different line of engineering or science, as he was the cream of the crop, with an over-the-top IQ. He excelled in math and science, and he could literally write his own ticket. Unfortunately it appears that that ticket had already been stamped for him in his mind.

It's amazing how well the progressives push forward their agenda, indoctrinate the next generation, and build bubble after bubble, even after they keep bursting, they are building an unsustainable utopia of their own doing, and it seems that academic groups so brilliant in their methodology, and so well-versed in history, well, it is amazing they keep making the same mistakes over and again.

If you think you want to study the environmental sciences should rethink that decision, and consider the future ahead. You see, I don't want to be on the hook when you default on your student loans, leaving the taxpayer of course. Believe me there are plenty of other kids going down that yellow brick road already - soon that yellow water fall is going to splash them in the face. Please consider all this and think on it.
